Hempfield survived six Manheim Township runs in the first two innings, and plated runs in all six of their offensive frames, to best the Blue Streaks and nail down back to back League Championships. For the second year in a row, the combination of Joe Zangari and Bill Brunner took to the mound in the League Championship game. They combined on a nine hit, seven inning performance as the vaunted Manheim Township offense banged out nine hits and left nine runners stranded. The pitching staffs for both teams combined to allow 21 walks and 18 hits.
Hempfield was led offensively by Matt Roberts, who was 3-5 with 2 RBI and Joe Zangari who was 1-1 with an RBI double but was walked 4 times, 3 of them intentionally.
